Provided is a method for producing cellulose nanofibers, which is characterized by finely shredding a cellulose in a modified epoxy resin (A) that has a hydroxyl number of 100 mgKOH/g or more. Also provided are: cellulose nanofibers which are obtained by the above-described production method; and a master batch which contains the cellulose nanofibers and the above-described modified epoxy resin (A). Also provided are: a resin composition which contains the master batch and a curing agent (D); and a molded body which is obtained by molding the resin composition.
