PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip resistor that allows preventing the occurrence of chipping at a corner portion, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A chip resistor 1 includes: a substrate 2 having an element formation surface 2A, a rear surface 2B on the opposite side of the element formation surface 2A, and side surfaces 2C to 2F connecting between the element formation surface 2A and the rear surface 2B; a resistor 56 formed on the element formation surface 2A; a first connection electrode 3 and a second connection electrode 4 electrically connected to the resistor 56 and disposed on the element formation surface 2A; and a resin film 24 covering the element formation surface 2A with the first connection electrode 3 and the second connection electrode 4 being exposed. A crossing portion 11 where the rear surface 2B and the side surfaces 2C to 2F are crossed has a round shape. |
