PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery and a battery pack, both having a good cycle characteristic.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is provided. The battery comprises: a positive electrode including a lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese complex oxide expressed by the formula LiNiCoMnO; and a negative electrode including at least one of a Spinel structure of lithium titanate and a monoclinic &bgr;-type titanium complex oxide as a negative electrode active material, and at least one of an oxide having a Spinel structure and expressed by the formula AFeOand an oxide expressed by the formula ACoO. The ratio of the total mass of the oxide expressed by the formula AFeOand the oxide expressed by ACoOto the total mass of the negative electrode active material is in a range of 1-5 mass%. The electric capacitance of the negative electrode is larger than that of the positive electrode. |
