PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit, an electrooptical device, electronic equipment and a driving method capable of greatly shortening the time until transfer of display data in a first display line is completed.SOLUTION: A drive circuit, which drives an electrooptical device based on display data input by Q (Q is an integer of 2 or larger) bit unit, includes: a display data memory having a plurality of storage regions that are arranged in the column direction and in the row direction; a writing control unit that performs data writing control of each bit of display data in the storage regions for Q bits continuous in the column direction out of the plurality of the storage regions of the display data memory; a reading control unit that performs display data reading control from the display data memory for each 1 display line; and a driving unit which drives the electrooptical device based on the display data read by the display data memory by the reading control unit. |
