PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of smooth communication even when joining in or leaving from a communication group.SOLUTION: A node in a standby state is set into a CSMA/CA mode as a second communication mode. When the node performs data transmission within a communication group that the node belongs to, the node is switched to a pre-assign mode as a first communication mode specified by the user and transmits data to nodes within the communication group selectively specified by the user. When the node receives a frame with a pre-assign mode specified, the node determines, by reference to a communication group information storage 21, whether the node belongs to a communication group specified by the received frame, and if the node belongs to the communication group, switches its communication mode from a CSMA/CA mode to a pre-assign mode to transmit and receive subsequent response signals according to the pre-assign mode. |
