PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit that can display a full-color image with only one solid light source when displaying a full-color image by scanning a phosphor region with excitation light emitted from the solid light source.SOLUTION: The display unit comprises: a solid light source 2 emitting light of a predetermined wavelength within a wavelength region from ultraviolet light to visible light as excitation light; light source control means 3 for controlling light emission of the solid light source 2 on the basis of predetermined data; a phosphor frame (phosphor screen) 7 formed by alternately laminating, with partition walls, at least one kind of phosphor region that is excited by excitation light when the excitation light from the solid light source 2 is made incident and emits fluorescent light of a wavelength longer than the excitation light; scanning means 8 for scanning the phosphor frame 7 with the excitation light from the solid light source 2; and scan control means 9 for controlling the scanning of the scanning means 8. |
