PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery module capable of ensuring detection of abnormal expansion of a battery cell even if the states of battery cells have a variation, and a battery system using the same.SOLUTION: The battery module of this invention comprises: a battery cell group formed by stacking plural laminate lithium ion battery cells; a container for accommodating the battery cell group; and a connection member. The container comprises a first container part and a second container part. Both the container parts are connected to each other, with the battery cell group provided therebetween. The first container part is provided with a first fixing portion, while the second container part is provided with a second fixing portion. The connection member is fixed to both the first and second fixing portions. The battery module also comprises a detecting circuit that, when the connection member is broken, shuts off electric connection in the battery cell group. |
