PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backrest configured such that a plurality of front and rear back sheets are stretched on a back frame opening forward and backward, the chair having improved beautiful appearance and an improved attaching strength of the back sheet.SOLUTION: A first elongated groove 37 is formed in the outer periphery of a back frame 17 constituting a backrest 5, and a second elongated groove 38 is formed in the front surface of the back frame. The first elongated groove 37 is mounted with a first back sheet 18 through a tape-shaped edge member 35, and the second elongated groove 38 is mounted with a second back sheet 19 through an edge member 36. A cushion panel 20 is disposed between the front and rear back sheets 181 and 9. The second elongated groove 38 opens forward, so that even if the second back sheet is not mounted, the second elongated groove is not seen and beautiful appearance is maintained, and further the edge member 36 does not come out due to tension caused by human body pressure. |
