PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave gear apparatus in which a general-purpose bearing can be used and which is increased in permissible load torque and can transmit stable torque even when a high load is applied.SOLUTION: A wave gear apparatus 10 includes a rigid internal gear 20, a flexible external gear 30, and a wave generator 40. The wave generator 40 includes an input shaft fixing member 41 including eccentric cams 43, 44, bearings 45, 46 respectively fixed to outer sides of the eccentric cams, and housings 47, 48 respectively fitted to outer peripheral surfaces of the bearings. The eccentric cams 43, 44 are arranged side by side in a direction of an inclined axis X-Xinclined with respect to an input rotation axis X-X at an inclination angle &thetas; in a manner that respective center axes of the eccentric cams are parallel to the inclined axis X-Xand decentered by an eccentric amount &egr; in directions opposite to each other from the inclined axis X-X. The housings 47, 48 are each formed into a tapered shape so that outer peripheral surfaces 47b, 48b of the housings 47, 48 are held in surface contact with an inner peripheral surface 30a of the flexible external gear 30. |
