摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting a trace amount of a specific substance using visually observable fluorescent labeling reagent.SOLUTION: In a method of detecting a target substance using immuno-chromatography; fluorescent particles is employed as a labeling reagent, the fluorescent particles containing a base material whose main component is silica, and both of one or more types of organic dyes, and an organic fluorescent dye whose excitation wavelength is longer than that of the organic dye, in which a difference between the excitation wavelength and a fluorescent wavelength is made wider than that in the case of one type of the fluorescent dye by means of resonance energy transfer phenomenon; a specimen containing a labeling reagent connected to the target substance is irradiated with excitation light from a high-luminance LED via an optical filter which cuts a long wavelength component of the excitation light; and fluorescent light from the specimen is observed by using hue change of fluorescent light with respect to the excitation light caused by Stokes shift of the excitation wavelength of the fluorescent reagent and the fluorescence detection wavelength by means of the resonance energy transfer phenomenon.
