PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for conductive pattern formation in which blurring of a conductive pattern formed by using an ink or a paste containing metal ultrafine particles is low, and breaking of a wire is hard to occur.SOLUTION: A base material for conductive pattern formation includes a porous layer containing fine particles and a resin binder on a support medium, and, on the porous layer, a top surface layer which contains thermoplastic resin having a glass transition point of 0°C or less and has a pore capacity of 0.2 ml/g or more.
