Provided are a Corson alloy having an excellent bending workability and high Young's modulus orthogonal to the rolling direction and a method for producing the same. The Corson alloy is a rolling material formed from 0.8 to 5.0 mass% of at least one of Ni and Co and 0.2 to 1.5 mass% of Si, with the remainder being copper and inevitable impurities, wherein I(200 )/I0(200) > 1.0 at the surface of the rolling material, I(220)/I0(220) + I(311)/I0(311) > 1.0 at the cross section to a depth of 45 to 55% of the sheet thickness [where I(hkl) and I0(hkl) are the diffraction integral strength of the (hkl) face found by X-ray diffraction of the rolling material and copper powder, respectively] and one or more of Sn, Zn, Mg, Fe, Ti, Zr, Cr, Al, P, Mn and Ag is optionally added to a total content of 0.005 to 3.0 mass%.
|
