PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to read a detection result in a short time by a reader that reads out the detection result in a temperature sensor by a heat flow-type clinical thermometer with the temperature sensor employing a surface acoustic wave.SOLUTION: A reader 210 discharges an electromagnetic wave to a clinical thermometer 200 having a plurality of SAW sensors arranged and capable of measuring a temperature at a deep part inside an inspected body and catches electromagnetic waves discharged from the plurality of SAW sensors. The reader 210 comprises: a plurality of first antennas that are arranged along a circumference in the same plane surface; means that identifies the intensity of each of the first antennas; means that generates a vector on the basis of the direction of each of the first antennas and an intensity of the electromagnetic wave caught by each of identified first antennas; means that synthesizes the vectors to calculate a synthesized vector and thereby extracts an identifier indicative of a direction in which the clinical thermometer 200 is positioned; and means that displays the identifier indicative of the direction. |
