PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an early completion of an automatic restart by performing fuel combustion as early as possible after a start of the automatic restart while improving an initial fuel combustion after the start of the automatic restart.SOLUTION: After fuel injection is performed after a start of cranking for an automatic restart of an internal combustion engine 1 in an automatic stop state, ignition is started under the following conditions [1] or [2]: [1] when a chipped tooth signal is output from a crank position sensor 34, in other words, the displacement of a crank angle detected from a proper value is corrected; and [2] when it is determined that, at an output of a cam signal from a cam position sensor 33, a proper value of a crank angle corresponding to the cam signal matches the detected crank angle. Therefore, when a cranking is started for the automatic restart in the internal combustion engine 1 in the automatic stop state, ignition after the start of the automatic restart is started under the conditions [1] or [2] after the fuel injection. |
