PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-cylinder engine capable of suppressing the thermal deterioration of an engine component arranged below an exhaust manifold.SOLUTION: In a multi-cylinder engine where an exhaust manifold 2 is mounted on one lateral side of a cylinder head 1 and the exhaust manifold 2 is covered with a heat shielding cover 3, when an engine component 7 is arranged below the exhaust manifold 2 and an exhaust gas delivery pipe 9 is connected to a joint exhaust gas exit part 8 of the exhaust manifold 2, a lower side of the exhaust manifold 2 is covered with a lower-side heat shielding cover plate 5, an extension heat shielding cover plate 10 is delivered from a lateral outside edge 5a on a counter-cylinder head side of the lower-side heat shielding cover plate 5 obliquely downward of the lateral outside, and the extension heat shielding cover plate 10 lays between the exhaust gas delivery pipe 9 and the engine component 7. |
