PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having multiple light-emitting cells which can be driven by direct connection with a home AC power supply.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a substrate having a protrusion in N region and a recess in P region on the upper surface, a dielectric film covering the upper surface of the substrate, a plurality of electrode layers and bonding pads formed on the dielectric film, a plurality of light-emitting cells provided on the electrode layers, and metal bumps for interconnecting the plurality of light-emitting cells and electrode layers. The plurality of electrode layers connect a pair of adjoining protrusion in N region and recess in P region, respectively, and the plurality of light-emitting cells are connected in series by the plurality of electrode layers which are connected via the metal bumps. |
