PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the accuracy of inspection of an image formed on a recording medium in the case of performing printing based on image data to which a correction of a specific characteristic in image-forming is applied to original image data.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a printing-original-image generation part 1021 for generating, on the basis of original image data (CMYK; 600 dpi), printing-original-image data (CMYK; 2400 dpi) to be used at an image forming part 10; a matching-original image generation part 1022 for generating, on the basis of the original image data, matching-original-image data to be used at an image matching part 302; an image reading part 60 for reading a print image formed at the image forming part 10 to make it read-image data (RGB; 600 dpi); and a matching-read-image generation part 103 for generating, on the basis of the read-image data, matching-read-image data (CMYK; 600 dpi) to be used at the image matching part 302. Further, the printing-original-image generation part 1021 and matching-original image generation part 1022 constitute a print image processing part 102 having a part of image processing communized. |
