PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding device capable of performing grinding with high accuracy without generating a grinding burn.SOLUTION: A grinding device includes a workpiece side unit, a grinding wheel side unit, a first stopper fixed to the workpiece side unit in parallel to a workpiece with respect to a cutting direction, a second stopper arranged in the grinding wheel side unit opposite the first stopper, a pressing force generation means for generating a pressing force to press the first stopper against the second stopper and to press the workpiece against a grinding wheel, and a control device. The first stopper contains a piezoelectric actuator and a force sensor, wherein the force sensor measures the force generated by the pressing force and acting on the first stopper while the workpiece is ground by the grinding wheel by reducing the first stopper pressed against the second stopper. |
