摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a metal nanoparticle suitable for use as an electrically conductive material by synthesizing the metal nanoparticle from an insoluble metal salt without including a corrosive material.SOLUTION: A method for synthesizing a metal nanoparticle includes the steps of: preparing a metal salt aqueous solution (A) in which a metal salt is dissolved, a carboxylic acids aqueous solution (B) in which one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of glycolic acid and malonic acid, and salts thereof are dissolved, and a reducing agent aqueous solution (C); forming a mixed solution by mixing the carboxylic acids aqueous solution (B) with one of the metal salt aqueous solution (A) and the reducing agent aqueous solution (C); and producing the metal nanoparticle by adding and mixing the other one of the metal salt aqueous solution (A) and the reducing agent aqueous solution (C) into the mixed solution. The metallic element included in the metal salt includes at least 75 mass% of silver. The mixing with the reducing agent aqueous solution is performed by stirring at a predetermined temperature. The reducing agent is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of hydrazine, ascorbic acid, and formic acid, and salts thereof.
