The invention relates to a starting device and/or device for controlling the reactive power compensation for at least two synchronous machines (G), comprising - at least one excitation unit (ERR) for each synchronous machine, each excitation unit being connected to the excitation winding of the corresponding synchronous machine (G), - an annular communication link (K, VK) which connects all the excitation unit to one another, and - at least one starting converter (AUR), said starting converter being connectable to multiple synchronous machines (G) via switching devices (S1, S2). The aim of the invention is to simplify the transmission between adjacent excitation units (ERR). This is achieved in that the excitation units (ERR) are part of the annular communication link (K, VK), wherein the excitation units (ERR) are connected to one another in series by means of the communication link (K, VK). |
