Provided are: an information-display-equipped electric-heating-type heater that in a unified manner, is capable of handling an electric-heating-type heater and information related to the performance of the heater; and a method of using the information. The invention: is the electric-heating-type heater, which is provided with a pair of electrodes (21, 21); and is the information-display-equipped electric-heating-type heater (100), in which the information related to the heater performance of the electric-heating-type heater is displayed on a honeycomb structure (4). Said pair of electrodes (21, 21) are arranged on the tubular honeycomb structure (4) and an outer circumferential wall (3) of the honeycomb structure (4). Comprising an electrically conductive material, said honeycomb structure (4) comprises: porous partitions (1) that form sections of multiple cells (2) extending from one end surface to another end surface, said cells (2) being channels for a fluid; and an outer circumferential wall (3) positioned at an outermost circumference. |
