The present invention provides a method for forming a coating including an organic acid while suppressing any increase in the haze rate of glass on a glass sheet production line. This method for producing a glass sheet provided with a coating comprises: a step for dividing a glass ribbon on a glass sheet production line to form a plurality of glass sheets; and a step for applying, onto either the glass ribbon or the plurality of glass sheets on the glass sheet production line, a solution comprising an organic acid and at least one species selected from water-soluble polymers and polyphosphates. The water-soluble polymer is preferably a water-soluble macromolecule, and is preferably a water-soluble copolymer. A preferable water-soluble copolymer includes vinylpyrrolidone units.
