WIDEBAND DUAL-POLARIZATION ANTENNA AND RADIATING UNIT THEREOF

Disclosed are a wideband dual-polarization antenna and radiating unit thereof. The radiating unit comprises two pairs of symmetric dipoles that are polarized and mutually orthogonal, each pair of the symmetric dipoles comprising a pair of radiating arms and a pair of baluns used for being fixed on a metal reflection plate and respectively implementing same-side support on the radiating arms at mutually close ends of the radiating arms. The radiating arms are disposed on a same reference plane, and the entire radiating unit has a centrosymmetric structure with respect to the geometrical center of the reference plane. A space formed by extending the reference plane in a direction towards to the bottom of the balun is defined as an accommodating space. Each radiating arm has a closed single line shape, and has a main body located on the reference plane. At an end of the radiating arm far from a corresponding balun, the radiating arm is provided with an extending portion extending to the accommodating space and bent from the main body of the radiating arm. According to the present invention, the path length of a current in the radiating arm is extended by fully taking advantage of the space, so that the size of the radiating arm can be reduced on the basis of a specified electrical index.
