PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gray hair ameliorating agent having excellent gray hair ameliorating and preventing effect. SOLUTION: There are provided the gray hair ameliorating agent containing polyphosphoric acid, and the gray hair ameliorating agent containing polyphosphoric acid and one or more kinds of anti-gray hair agent selected from the group consisting of Acanthopanax sieboldianus extract, malotilate (dithiol derivative), basic fibroblast growth factor (b-FGF), angiogenin, ω-alkoxycarbonylalkyl trialkyl ammonium, Gynostemma pentaphyllum extract, Zanthoxylum piperitum extract, and Piper nigrum extract.
