<p>Controlling at least one parameter in a wire feeder (3) of a resistance-heated welding wire on a welding torch (2), preferably tungsten inert gas welding torch, and a welding device (1), comprises guiding the welding wire via a wire nozzle of the wire feeder, which is attached to the welding torch, and measuring at least one electrical magnitude of the welding wire and using it for regulation, where the location of the wire nozzle with respect to the welding torch is set as a control parameter of the wire feeder depending on the measured electrical magnitude of the welding wire. An independent claim is also included for a welding device comprising a welding torch having an electrode (4), especially tungsten inert gas welding torch with a resistance-heated welding wire, a wire feeder fixed at a welding torch for welding wire, where the wire feeder has a wire nozzle attached to the welding torch to guide the wire of the welding wire, which comprises a measuring and control device for measuring at least one electrical magnitude of the welding device and for distance control of the welding device with respect to a workpiece (7) to be welded depending on the measured electrical magnitude.</p> |
