PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to have high charging and discharging capacity, to have high cycle lifetime, and to have excellent charging and discharging performance at high voltage density. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode active material (1) includes a core particle (2) which includes at least one selected from hard carbon and soft carbon and a shell layer located on the surface of the core particle. The shell layer includes a carbon microparticle crystalline graphite microparticle, graphene, carbon black, and carbon nanotubes; silicon or silicon alloy microparticle (4); and an amorphous or semi-crystalline carbon (5). The average particle diameter (D_50) of the core particle is 2-20 micron. The average particle diameter (D_50) of the carbon microparticle is 0.003-5 micron. |
