<p>A method of determining a zero instantaneous running clearance position of a brake including:
monitoring a single parameter of a brake component during use of the brake,
determining the position of the brake when the parameter has a monitored characteristic that is indicative of a zero instantaneous running clearance position by comparing the monitored characteristic of the parameter with a predetermined characteristic of the parameter which is known to be indicative of a zero instantaneous running clearance position of the brake.</p> |
