<p>The method involves exchanging data over a commonly used transmission channel by road users. An arbitrary road user on running out from a free transmission channel, takes the role of a master and transmits data in a transmission cycle with a length of two time slots. The road user transmits a synchronization burst in one time slot, which prepares a road user for receiving a user data burst.
