SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURE CONTAINMENT OF SENSITIVE FINANCIAL INFORMATION STORED IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A system for a secure repository of importance financial information stored in a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to protect the information, which is stored in a secure element (SE) of a non-Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) type, with an over-the-air (OTA). CONSTITUTION: An OTA proxy is connected to a trusted service manager (TSM) (10). The OTA proxy receives a security command from the TSM. The security command is either a command to delete the information stored in the SE of the non-UICC type, or a command to lock the access to the information stored in the SE of the non-UICC type. The OTA proxy transmits the mobile terminal information and the SE information to the TSM. The SE information comprises the SE status and the SE type.
