A COMPOSITION FOR WOUND HEALING

PURPOSE: A composition for wound healing is provided to promote the growth of wound healing-related cells and the synthesis of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) and collagen and to treat wounds by being directly applied onto the wounds. CONSTITUTION: A composition for wound healing contains a Raphani semen extract as an active ingredient. The extract is a butanol fraction of a water or C1-C4 alcohol extract. The C1-C4 alcohol extract is a methanol or ethanol extract. A method for preparing the Raphani semen extract with a wound healing effect comprises the steps of: extracting Raphani semen with water or C1-C4 alcohols; and fractioning the extract with butanol.
