A mobile communication terminal and an operation method thereof are provided to sense a location of a broadcasting antenna, to enable a broadcasting menu to be outputted on a screen according to the sensed location, and to allow broadcasting data to be outputted, thereby enabling broadcasting reception by only operating the broadcasting antenna. A broadcasting antenna(10) receives a broadcasting signal. A broadcasting receiver(20) generates broadcasting data by reading the received broadcasting signal. A sensing unit(30) senses a location of the broadcasting antenna. A controller(40) controls a broadcasting menu to be outputted on a screen if the broadcasting antenna is protruded to the outside, according to a sensing signal inputted from the sensing unit. If the broadcasting antenna is protruded to the outside according to the sensing signal, the controller controls the broadcasting receiver to be activated. |
