The device has a partially curved, transparent compound plate (12) comprising an upper glass plate (20) as a storage area for loads and a lower glass plate (22) as visible surface. A plastic plate (24) is made of transparent plastic material and arranged between the upper and lower glass plates. An organic LED (OLED) layer (26) is formed between the upper and lower glass plates. OLEDs (27) i.e. single radiating OLEDs, are arranged in the OLED layer and emit radiation toward the lower glass plate and/or the upper glass plate.
