The gear box has a set of input wheels (16) rotatably mounted in a differential basket (14), which is coupled with a drive shaft of a powertrain. Driven shaft wheels (18, 20) are rotatably mounted on both sides of the differential basket in a coaxial manner. The driven shaft wheels are meshed with the input wheels and connected with a driven shaft of the powertrain in a torque-proof manner. Rotational axes of the input wheels exhibit directly aligned and equivalent large parallel displacement relative to next-adjacent parallel differential basket radials. The input wheels and the driven shaft wheels are designed as bevel gears, spur gears and crown wheels.
