PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which is inserted easily into a thin and complexly bending conduit without deteriorating flexibility of an insertion section and without enlarging the apparatus. SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus 1 includes an endoscope 2 which bends in accordance with a subject S and has a distal end section 7 with an observation means for observing a subject S and the flexible insertion section 8 extending from the distal end section 7 to the proximal end side, a first liquid injecting means 5 for injecting liquid F1 from the proximal end side to the distal end side of the endoscope 2, a rod 15 projecting toward the distal end side from the distal section 7 of the endoscope 2, and a first flange 4 provided on the distal end of the rod 15 and having a hood 3 stretching circumferentially.
