PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate change of settings of a push button type switch. SOLUTION: The push button type switch includes: a button part which has a plurality of operating points corresponding to a plurality of different amounts of depression; a change accepting part which accepts, from the outside, the change for assigning a function assigned to one of the plurality of operating points to the other one of the plurality of operating points; and an assigning part which assigns a function assigned to one of the plurality of operating points to the other one of the plurality of operating points, in accordance with the change accepted by the change accepting part.
