<p>The method comprises supplying a petroleum coke dust into a distributor using furnace lances (20). A dust supply is positioned between a dosing tank and the distributor, and is configured for independently switching and/or controlling conveyor stations. The dust entered to the distributor is measured by online measurement and/or a pressure sensor. The online measurement values are calibrated by the pressure measurement values, or vice versa. The switching of the conveyor stations is carried out to reduce a predetermined value of flow of dust.
