PURPOSE: A control method of a generator for a wind turbine is provided to prevent damage to the generator by controlling a nacelle and a mechanical brake connected to the generator when a pitch system is operated abnormally. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a generator for a wind turbine is as follows: a step of determining whether or not a pitch system is normally operated; a step of controlling a nacelle when the pitch system is abnormally operated (S106); and a step of operating a mechanical brake connected to the generator (S107). The nacelle is arranged at a predetermined angle to a direction of wind blowing to the wind turbine.
