The lamp post foundation brick (1) comprises a receptacle (2) for locally receiving a lamp post. The receptacle has an opening (3) for insertion of the lamp post into the receptacle. The opening is arranged in the area of a head end (4) of the lamp post foundation brick. A cable passage opening (5) is centrally arranged at the end of the receptacle opposite to the opening. The cable passage opening is designed as a through-hole having an oval cross-section. The cross-section of the receptacle in the area of the cable passage opening conically tapers in the direction of cable passage opening. An independent claim is included for a lamp post arrangement with a lamp post foundation brick and an electrical connection cable.
