An arrangement (1) for mounting a tower (2) is provided. The arrangement (1) includes at least three pillars (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4), a first crane (4) and a plurality of bars (5). Each pillar (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4) is extensible along a central axis of the pillar (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4). The first crane (4) is attached to or attachable to an end of one of the pillars (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4). The bars (5) are adapted to connect one of the pillars (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4) to a neighbouring one of the pillars (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4) in a first direction crossing the central axes of the one pillar (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4) and of the neighbouring one of the pillars (3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4). |
