The assembly (11) has a component (14) i.e. water box, with an edge area (21) attached to an edge section (19) of a vehicle pane (12) i.e. windscreen. Frames (16) surround the vehicle pane and comprise a frame profile (17). The edge area of the component and the edge section of the vehicle pane are firmly connected with each other with a common connection section (20). The connection section is produced by overmolding. The connection section engages directly the vehicle pane at the edge area of the component and at the frame profile of the frame. The frame profile is formed by one-component plastic material or multi-component plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a motor car assembly.
