Relay with improved insulating properties

The relay has an electromagnet system including electromagnetic pole shoes (3, 4) defining relay sides. A relay housing receives the system, a fixed contact (21) and another fixed contact, which are arranged adjacent to each other at one of the sides. The contacts are spatially separated from the system and connected with connecting pins (43, 44). A load switch (20) includes a contact spring (24) with a bridge contact (23) that interacts with the contacts for bridging or separating the contacts according to a position of an armature (12). The switch is surrounded by insulating material walls. The load switch is an operating contact switch.
