The invention relates to the provision of a recombinant protein comprising ribonuclease activity, which includes a sequence derived from human pancreatic ribonuclease (RNasa-PH) having the sequence SEC ID NO: 37, which is fused by the N-terminal end thereof to a conventional nuclear localization sequence. The invention further relates to a recombinant DNA molecule that codes for said protein, to a vector that includes said DNA molecule and to a cell that includes said vector. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing the recombinant protein and to the use of same as an antitumor agent.
