摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A park steering auxiliary system of a vehicle and a method for controlling the system are provided to allow parking a vehicle in the center of a target location, to allow departing of a vehicle without controlling a location of the vehicle, and to secure a space while loading or unloading. CONSTITUTION: A park steering auxiliary system comprises a status sensor detecting a status of a vehicle; an obstacle detector detecting an obstacle existing in the front, at a rear part, or sides of the vehicle; an interface unit providing information related to a status or operation of the vehicle to a driver; and a controller that derives a parking path of the vehicle based on the result of detection from the status sensor and the obstacle detector, controls steering of the vehicle to park the vehicle to a target location along the derived parking path, and informs required operation to a driver through the interface unit during a process of parking to the target location, wherein the controller is featured in controlling (250) the steering of the vehicle to locate the vehicle in the center of the target location based on the information related to the situation in the front or at the back of the vehicle which is detected in the obstacle detector when the vehicle arrives at the target location.
