PURPOSE: A gasoline composition is provide to have an advantage which includes the fuel saving, the cold starting ignition, the good fuel efficiency from reduced emission by having an improved ignition characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A gasoline composition comprises gasoline and a gasoline combustion enhancement. The gasoline combustion enhancement comprises an organic nitro compound which has 60-80 Kcal/mol of C-NO2 bond dissociation energy of the compound. The organic nitro compound is selected from a group which comprises alkyl nitraanisole, nitropur furyl nitrate, N,N- dialkyl nitroaniline, furazolidone, nitrofurantoin, nitrofurazone, nitropur furyl alcohol, nitropur aldehyde, nitro phenylhydrazine, alkoxyl nitroaniline (nitraanisole), N-alkyl alkoxyl nitroaniline, nitro Indolene, nitronaphthylamine, nitro carbazole, nitrobenzimidazole, 3-nitro-2,6- lutidine, nitropyrazole, nitro triazole, nitro benzo-18-crown-6, nitrobenzophenone, nitro benzoxazole-2 (3H)-on, nitrocinnamaldehyde and alkyl nitrobenzene; and the organic nitro compound is not the nitro toluene and the dinitrotoluene. The C-NO2 bond of the organic nitro compound is not dissociated at the temperature of under 750 K in the combustion chamber.
