PURPOSE: A photo recommending method based on the photo selecting pattern of a user is provided to retrieve a recommended photo from stored photos by using an analyzed photo selecting pattern and provide the retrieved, recommended photo to the user. CONSTITUTION: Photo information is extracted from a photo selected by a user among photos stored in a user terminal (S100). The photo selected by the user is divided into a predetermined number of photo elements and then photo information of each photo element is extracted. A photo selecting pattern of the user is analyzed by using the extracted photo information (S200). A recommended photo is retrieved from the photos stored in the user terminal by using the analyzed photo selecting pattern (S300). The retrieved, recommended photo is provided to the user (S400).
