PURPOSE: A purchase/rental cost comparing system is provided to accurately notify the advantage of work efficiency besides the reduction of costs. CONSTITUTION: An input/output terminal outputs purchase basis/rental basis/purchase addition/rental addition information items, inputs purchase basis information according to purchase basis information item, inputs rental basis information according to rental basis information item, inputs purchase addition information according to purchase addition information item, and inputs rental addition information according to rental addition information item. An operating server calculates a simple purchase cost based on the purchase basis information, calculates simple rental costs based on rental basis information, calculates the total purchase cost based on the purchase basis information and purchase addition information, calculates the total rental costs based on the rental basis information and rental addition information, and outputs the simple purchase costs, the simple rental costs, the total purchase costs, and the total rental costs through the input/output terminal.
