PURPOSE: A firewood combustion apparatus using a heat-insulated vertical furnace and a heat exchanger are provided to prevent the smoke caused by incomplete combustion of firewood and reduce the amount of consumed fuel. CONSTITUTION: A firewood combustion apparatus comprises a body, a heat blocking plate, a combustion chamber, a vertical furnace(10), and a plurality of flame guide channels. The heat blocking plate is extended from top to bottom in the body with gradually decreasing width. An insulating material(150) is filled between the heat blocking plate and the body. The combustion chamber is a space formed inside the heat blocking plate. The vertical furnace is vertically formed from the position below half the height of the combustion chamber and has an exterior made of a high heat resistance material to maximize the combustion efficiency. One end of each flame guide channel is extended from the entry of the combustion chamber while the other end is extended lengthwise to the vertical furnace or the entry of a flame collecting container to guide flame and smoke. |
