PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress demagnetization of permanent magnets in a motor, while driving the motor stably.SOLUTION: A motor drive includes a current threshold setting section 45 for setting an acceleration rate limitation threshold, i.e., a current threshold when limiting the acceleration rate of a motor M, corresponding to the motor temperature detected by a motor winding temperature detector 50, an acceleration rate setting section 46 for comparing a motor current corresponding to the current value detected by a current detector 20 with the acceleration rate limitation threshold input from the current threshold setting section 45, and setting an acceleration rate of the motor M depending on the comparison result, and a drive signal generating section 44 for outputting a drive signal to an inverter 11 according to the acceleration rate set by the acceleration rate setting section 46. |
