PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of suppressing defocus of a projected image.SOLUTION: The projector comprises: an illumination device; an electro-optic device 450 for forming an optical image by modulating the illumination light from the illumination device in accordance with image information; a projection lens 600 for projecting the optical image formed by the electro-optic device 450; a connection member 50 connecting the electro-optic device 450 and the projection lens 600 and capable of being expanded/contracted by a temperature change; a thermoelectric element 60 provided on the connection member 50 and adjusting the temperature of the connection member 50; a temperature sensor 63 for measuring an environmental temperature; and a control unit 64 for controlling the thermoelectric element 60 so that the relative position of the electro-optic device 450 and the projection lens 600 is not changed, on the basis of the relationship between the environmental temperature measured by the temperature sensor 63 and an optical image display mode. |
