PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, in which generation of deposit is surely prevented by improving accuracy of a determination of whether or not the deposit is generated in an EGR passage wall surface or an EGR device.SOLUTION: Based on an acquired HC concentration and an EGR valve wall surface temperature Te, it is determined whether or not deposit is generated. When it is determined that the deposit is generated, an EGR valve 44 is closed to prohibit the reflux of an EGR gas. When it is determined that the deposit is not generated, the reflux of the EGR gas is permitted. |
